Fun but repetitive and easily costly.

After spending many hours increasing the amount of money to spend for increased weapons, armor, shield, etc. and becoming adept in fighting the various warriors, I find the ending of the game disappointing. I have reached the point where I can win every tournament with no difficulty. I have the best weapons, shields, armor, etc, that I can purchase based on winning the tournaments over and over. I did not spend any additional "real" dollars in purchasing gems or coins. But now that I have the best and feel that I am the best warrior, it was time to move on to the Elite Tournaments. So I spent the $9.99 on enough gems to enter both elite tournaments. I was expecting improved warriors to battle against. Instead I went through both tournaments very quickly, defeating all opponents and winning Invictus. I thought I would go back to these two elite tournaments and fight again, as I do the regular tournaments. But once again I am asked to pay in gems that the only way to obtain them is to pay with "real" money. Why do I have to pay over and over to fight in these elite tournaments. Why isnt paying once enough? So, after many hours and $9.99 I find myself at the end of the tournaments with little challenge. The game is fun while learning but once you master it becomes boring. The rewards for winning the elite tournaments are very poor. Im also disappointed that when you continue to advance in levels you continue to receive the same 3 skill points. There is no greater reward in advancing up the levels. I also strongly suggest that you set your option to yes for the "buying confirmation" toggle If not you could easily find ourself spending large amounts of "real" money for gems and coins. A fun game but due to the repetitiveness and the fact that you can only play the elite tournaments one time without having to pay again, and again, and again, I only rate this game as 4 stars.

Slow

After the first few tournaments the enemies begin to deal blows that are in the thousands, which can barely be stopped or dodged. The biggest complaint is how slow the reaction time is… Once the key is pressed it takes almost two seconds for the game to react. I think the game could be cleaner running.

Not cool..unable to use keyboard for gameplay

There should be an option to play with the keyboard. Using the trackpad for this sort of game is not good.

i like it

Its awesome but really hard twords the upper levels. the amor and weapons cost a lot too

crashes

ive got to play the game about twice but after when i open it it says restore windows or dont restore windows ive tried both but all that happens is a crash so i havent gotten to play

Game is decent but...

This game is decent with one big problem. The tutorial constantly tries to get you to spend money. Rubies pack, skill points, coins, come on. Why dont you just charge for the game instead of making it appear to be free. To have any decent weapons or a chance at winning any fights you have to spend money. I would rather just pay for the game up front instead of the hidden costs.

Just doesnt work

Its a shame, cuz it looked like an interesting game. Visuals are nice and sound is impressive. I ran it on a brand new (2011 model) 15" MBP. Got into the 2nd stage of the demo (attacking your enemy) and all of a sudden the game freezes. Sound still plays and tutorial visual still loops, but it doesnt register that I have actually performed the action (swiping across the enemys body), and continues to try to get me to perform that action.

Repetitive

The game was good but it needs new features that wont make it seem so repetitive

Stupid

This game only lasts 2 hours!

Warning: Good game but don

The game is pretty fun and fairly addictive but dont spend any real money on it! Its really not worth it. You get 7 tournaments for free plus a tutorial. When you spend a whole $4.99, you get only one additional tournament. I spent the money because I figured I would get a whole new set of 7 or 8 tournaments but you dont. PLUS you only get to the play the "Elite" tournament once. Big rip off! Just play the free aspect of the game until youre bored of it. Hope this warning helps.

Really easy to really hard

Theres no constant middle ground when fighting opponents. Either they are really easy to fight or really hard. Saying that, its worth playing for about 2 hours or so and then the opponents become amazingly hard and will kill you in 3 hits and you just can not read their moves to dodge them. Obviously I could just be bad at the game but it is definately worth atleast two hours of your time without paying cash for better equipment and potions.

Great

This is my first review for a mac game! Having played the same game on my phone and iPad this version is easily the best. I was surprised how easy it is to swipe on the trackpad. I thought I was gonna have to click and swipe. So awesome! Cant stop playing. Only thing though is that it makes my 2009 MacBook really hot really fast!

great

this game is great, but its to hard for me.

could use some fixes

this is a really good and entertaining game for mac and iPhone, especially for free, but there are a couple things that need to be changed, one of those things is that every other time you attack someone it stops the game and says skip now, that is annoying because the enemy regains consciousness and is no longer vulnerable, another thing is the enemies do so much damage and you do so little in the later rounds, its almost as if the game is asking you for 5 dollars, the lowest price, to buy 100 gems for health potions. One last major change is the price of equipment is really extreme considering that you only get like 5000 gold every tournament. Other than these problems, the gameplay is smooth on my 13 inch mac book air 2012 and the game, like infinity blade, is easily repayable.

Good Game. But Resolution is Bad on Retina Display

The game is fun. But, when you load the game on a Macbook Pro w/Retina Display, you can only see about 1/4 of whats going on. This game needs to be updated for Retina Display.

Cant go to the next match

The gameplay is good, but then when I try the go to the next match, it stops, so I have to quit and restart. Hope it gets fixed.

Very, very boring

Well, Ill start of with the good. - The graphics are good. Now on to the bad. - Voice "acting" is terrible. Trying to recreate small Latin phrases is fine, but dont try doing it with thick American accents. - The game play is very one dimensional. There is very little beside telegraphing movements and swinging your sword. - The is little motivation to keep playing. This is achieved multiple ways: • If you reach an opponent who is difficult to defeat you probablyr need to farm previously defeated enemies for better gear. • You gain a very small fraction of the "regular" reward for defeating already defeated enemies making farming VERY boring. • Some enemy movements are very hard to read and they are usually the moves that will 1 or 2 shot you. • The camera constantly switches angles, making it hard to rely on what you think you already know. Moves look different from every view. If youre 12, you may enjoy this game for about an hour. Then again, if youre 12, you arent supposed to be playing this game for another 5 years. If youre over 17, dont waste your time.

OH COME ON!!!!

I used to love this game, but the latest "update" deleted all my data. I spent hours, nay, days getting everything in the store and beating every tournament, and the carelessness of this games programers cost me all that. If any avid players are reading this DO NOT UPDATE YOUR GAMES.

This Game

Idk great game too me…it has alot of fade aways and white greens going to need to be fix bad. When you getting ready to die it freezes up.

question

am i missing something, or do the characters and progress that I made while playing on my macbook not sync over to my iphone?
